Grinch Party!!

We have loved having the Grinch visit us everyday. To send him off back to Who-ville, we had a Grinch party. We played sight word bingo, made Grinch masks and made Grinch cookies. We had such a fun time.

I just want you all to know how loved I feel today. Thank you all so much for everything! You are all so generous and I love teaching your children. I will miss seeing them over the break. I hope you all have a Merry Christmas!!

Run, Run Rudolph

Unfortunately, I was sick this week so I was stuck at home for a few days. Mr. Grinch kept me company so he wasn't able to visit either. It was nice to be back on Friday and so was Mr. Grinch. We learned facts about reindeer and did a little writers workshop. We wrote about all that we learned. Then we got to make fun reindeer hats. We galloped around the classroom to the song, "Run Run Rudolph". It was a lot of fun and they are some of the cutest reindeer I have ever seen.

Mr. Grinch

On December 1st, we had a new classroom visitor. Mr. Grinch came to our classroom and brought us a present. It was the book, "How the Grinch Stole Christmas". So we got to start off our Christmas celebration by watching the movie. Mr. Grinch also has his very own sight word journal that he writes in to let us know what the word of the day is. We are helping him become a better writer by editing his sentences. We also want to be good writers too. If we are writing our sentences the kindergarten way and have finger spaces and punctuation at the end, we get to put a heart on Mr. Grinch. I am super impressed with how much their writing has improved.

Today, Mr. Grinch brought us the book, "The Littlest Elf". We did a fun writing activity about what we would do if we were an elf. After, we got to make our very own elf. Thanks Mr. Grinch for making our day so fun!
